Michael Cohen believes Trump will go after Musk’s money because of jealousy. Michael Cohen news .Is Michael Cohen still a lawyer?

Michael Cohen, former personal attorney to Donald Trump, has publicly predicted that Trump will turn against Elon Musk due to jealousy over Musk’s substantial wealth. Cohen made these remarks during an appearance on MSNBC, stating, “Trump will ultimately go after Elon’s money next, because it bothers him that he is the richest man in the world.” According to Forbes, Trump’s net worth is approximately $5.1 billion, while Musk’s is around $417 billion.

Cohen suggested that Trump might leverage the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)—an agency Musk previously led—to scrutinize the government subsidies that have benefited Musk’s companies. Specifically, Cohen pointed to the $7,000 tax credit for each Tesla vehicle sold, implying that Trump could frame these subsidies as examples of government waste and attempt to reclaim them.

Cohen compared Trump’s 2017 actions to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s, who targeted the wealth of his relatives. He warned that Trump might similarly pursue Musk’s financial assets. This prediction comes amid reports of increasing tension between Trump and Musk, including Musk’s departure from his role in the Trump administration and alleged clashes with Trump aides.

These developments suggest a potential shift in Trump and Musk’s previously close relationship, with financial jealousy possibly playing a significant role in the evolving dynamics.
