Exxon Mobil CEO Darren Woods’ compensation rose 3% last year.

The largest oil company in the United States, Exxon Mobil, disclosed that the total compensation of its CEO, Woods (Darren Woods), reached $36.9 million last year, an increase of 3% year-on-year.
Exxon Mobil’s profits recorded $36 billion last year, lower than the $55.7 billion earned in the previous year, mainly due to the decline in the realized prices of oil and gas. The median compensation of the group’s employees last year was $185,000, an increase of 8% year-on-year.

Exxon Mobil’s major competitor, Chevron, disclosed that the total compensation of its CEO, Wirth (Michael Wirth), was $26.5 million last year, an increase of 12.2% year-on-year.
